Haram Things in Husband/Wife Bed Relation In Islam
"What is haram in husband/wife bed relation in Islam" is one of the frequently asked questions. Islam clearly provides guidelines to husband/wife for their bed relation. Muslim husband and wife should avoid these things mentioned below as they are haram in husband/wife relation in Islam.
Anal Sex(Intercourse)
Anal sex is haram in Islam. In Surah Al-Baqarah: 223, clear guidelines are provided on permissible sexual relations. According to Hadith Literature, The Prophet (ﷺ) cursed the man who has sexual relations with his wife in the anus. Moreover, there are health risks and complications in anal sex(intercourse). So, anal sex(intercourse) is strictly prohibited or forbidden in Islam. Islam gives priority to Vaginal sex(intercourse).
Sex(intercourse) during Menstruation
Having sex(intercourse) during menstruation is strictly prohibited or forbidden in Islam due to many reasons. One of them is the well-being of both husband and wife. In Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 222, intercourse(sex) during menstruation is clearly declared Haram.
Do not use Vulgar Language & Unethical Behavior
Islam gives priority to respect and modesty in every relationship even in husband & wife bed relation. It is haram(prohibited) for Muslim husband and wife to use vulgar language during sex(intercourse). Muslim Husband and wife are not allowed to abuse or curse each other during intercourse(sex). Due to the misuse of the internet husband and wife engage in improper or abusive physical acts during intercourse(sex), i.e. slaps on each other's face, squeezing or pressing each other's throat tightly, and giving pain to the wife for enjoyment etc. Similarly, In Islam, it is considered prohibited for a wife to ingest or drink her husband's sperm, as it is regarded as impure and potentially harmful. All types of physical harm are Haram(forbidden) in Islam.
Do not use intimate(sex) tools
Islam emphasizes purity and modesty in marital relations. In Western culture, the use of intimate toys or tools during intercourse(sex) is increasing. Unfortunately, Muslim boys and girls are impressed by their practices due to the lack of awareness about Islamic guidelines. The use of intimate tools or toys is also harmful to the physical health of both husband and wife. Islam strictly prohibits or forbids Muslim husband and wife to use intimate(sex) tools in bed relation.
Sexual Activity in Public or Non-Sanctified Places
Islam values privacy in marital relations. It is considered haram in Islam for husband and wife to engage in sexual activity in public. Even husband and wife are not allowed to have intercourse(sex) in front of their children.
Non-consensual Acts
Consent is necessary for a husband/wife relationship. It is fundamental for a husband to obtain consent from his wife before having intercourse(sex) as both husband and wife should feel comfortable and respected in their bed relationship. If a wife does not give permission to her husband to touch her or have intercourse then the husband should convince her politely and gently. Any act that is forced or non-consensual is not only harmful but also against Islamic rules or guidelines.
Kissing a spouse's private part
According to some Muslim scholars, kissing a spouse's private parts is generally considered impermissible in Islam. However, there is a view among certain scholars that such acts may be permissible as long as they do not cause harm to either spouse. Kissing on a spouse's lips, cheeks, and neck is allowed while kissing private areas is not. Additionally, all scholars agree that married couples should avoid public displays of affection and keep their romantic or sexual interactions private, confined to their personal space.
Do Not Drink Wife's Milk
In Islam, it is prohibited for a husband to drink his wife's breast milk. While it is permissible for him to suck her breast for the purpose of sexual arousal, intentionally drinking her milk is considered strictly forbidden or haram.
Intercourse During Fasting
Married couples are not permitted(allowed)to engage in sexual intercourse while fasting. During fasting hours, only physical intimacy is allowed. Similarly, sexual intercourse is prohibited during Umrah and Hajj.
